Welcome, we are the Green Country Bears! A group comprised of Bears, Bear chasers and Bear admirers who are opening the social door
for the Bears by encouraging friendship, camaraderie, and social events for the Bear community. Starting out with a handful of founding
members, we have grown to currently be Oklahoma's largest bear group, with members from Dallas to Wichita to Tulsa and all the surrounding areas.
Formed in Apr 2010, we pride ourselves in having members of all ages, professions and diverse backgrounds. The Group has spent the last two years
becoming a positive, fun, and furry staple in the gay community. We have partnered with numerous organizations, supported many great causes,
as well as volunteering for special events.
The core purpose of this group is to have fun and make new friends! We like to go to the movies, out to eat, bowling, celebrating birthdays,
bear pool parties, and barbeques; to name a few. We do go to the bars, but understand that not all bears are into the bar scene. Participating
in club events is 'at will' and is not a condition of membership. Do what you want, when you want. Being a Green Country Bear is not about how you look...
it's about having a fun loving attitude and being accepting of others. We invite you
to join us at our next monthly meeting. We meet on the second Thursday of every month at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center at 7:30.
Please understand this is not a sex group! Certain things may happen as a byproduct of being in a group, but that is not the intent.
New friendships continue to develop and we continue to look forward to expanding the direction the group is heading. That being said,
we are very proud to announce that we are hosting Tulsa's first ever bear run-- Tulsa Growl on May 4-6, 2012! The theme is 'Cinco de Oso'.
We are working very hard to bring you a fun and memorable weekend here in Tulsa, so please come join us for a weekend of furry and flirty fun!
I promise you won't regret it! Pool parties, shopping, bowling, meeting new friends, and a few surprises!

So, thank you for stopping by and looking at our site. We hope to see you at the next meeting or at our next get together, or at least
getting an email from you. Give us a chance--you just might make some great friends and lots of memories.
Big Bear Hugs
